Steelers fans why are you surprised at this point?
I am baffled, not by the Steelers losing to the Baltimore Ravens last Sunday but by Steelers fans upset over it. What did you expect from this team?
The homers once again look stupid as they lose their minds over a loss that anyone who watches this team without the hype shades on seen coming. It’s a hard pill to swallow when you’re fighting it on the way down.
The reality here is the Pittsburgh Steelers have been out of the playoff picture for weeks now. Yes, even with two back-to-back wins. You’re not getting into the playoffs with Matt Canada as your offensive coordinator.
Honestly, I think Mason Rudolph owes Mitch Trubisky a few Iron City Beers for becoming the most hated quarterback in Pittsburgh. By some fans’ reactions, I am not sure they even know Mitch is the backup quarterback.
Kenny Pickett has shown glimpses of great play, but he’s far from being the guy. We can hope and assume that is the case, but we have to allow time for Kenny to prove he’s legitimately the franchise quarterback. He’s not doing that in 2022.
The Steelers paid Diontae Johnson to be their number one receiver, and he’s getting arguably beat out by the rookie George Pickens. The list goes on and on as to why this team is not a contender.
I am not sorry that I told those who watched me on Youtube back in the earlier weeks of the season that they were not ready. It doesn’t take me until the end of week 14 to see that. It also does not mean I don’t continue to watch the Steelers play weekly.
It means the Steelers suck this year, and believe it or not, it happens. It’s ok not to always be at the top. You have to fail many times before you find success, and for the Steelers, they’re back to square one.
Enjoy what Steelers football we have left and watch for the progress certain players make with the remainder of the season left. The off-season is around the corner, and there should be exciting changes coming.
…or continue to believe the 2022 Steelers are Superbowl bound; it won’t come true.
